Birthday Blast: A Celebration of Life

JULY 2024 - A group of young Resurrection students gathered recently for a multi-day birthday party complete with cakes, streamers, party hats, and gift bags. A New Hallow Partnership!

Forging a New Partnership

JUNE 2024 -Resurrection hosted an official signing ceremony for our School Resource Officer (and Resurrection parishioner) Todd Schimmell. Resurrection, St. Joe, and Corpus Christi worked with the Vanderburgh County Sheriffs Office and Vanderburgh County Council to develop a new partnership that will allow Officer Schimmell to exclusively serve our three schools. A Life Built On Faith

JUNE 2024 - Parishioner Luke Schimmell was recognized in March as one of Resurrection's representatives for the Maria Goretti Youth Distinction award for his dedication to actively living our his Catholic faith. Living Out Our Parish Mission

MAY 2024 - We recently hosted three meetings for our parish parents who have students at Resurrection, Mater Dei, or Memorial to discuss our vision for living out our parish mission. Our mission states: Resurrection Parish is a friendly caring Christian Community composed of members of varied backgrounds who are family oriented and who strive for a oneness of spirit and deeper love of Christ. Our mission is to pass on our Christian values and Catholic traditions by tending to the spiritual, physical, and educational needs of all through worship and stewardship." Vacation Bible School Is July 8-11

APRIL 2024 - All kids who are entering kindergarten to 4th grade are invited to register for this year's Vacation Bible School: Birthday Blast - A Celebration of Life! Join us to celebrate lifew with Bible stories, music, snacks, games, and crafts. To learn more, CLICK HERE.


Celebrating First Holy Communion

APRIL 2024 - Congratulations to the second graders of Resurrection parish who celebrated their First Communion on April 14, 2024, We share in the happiness of these children and offer thanks to Jesus for sharing His life with them. To read more about First Communion, CLICK HERE.


Preparing For The Eucharist

APRIL 2024 - Second-graders at Resurrection spent a recent morning reflecting on the importance and the beauty of the Eucharist as they prepared for their upcoming First Communion. Welcome To The Church!

MARCH 2024 - On March 30, 2024, 11 people were fully welcomed into our Catholic faith by receiving the Sacraments of Initiation at Holy Saturday Mass at Resurrection. To read more about these individuals and the process of initiation into our faith, CLICK HERE.


Students Lead Holy Week Services

MARCH 2024 - Resurrection students spent the week before Spring Break preparing their hearts for Easter. Our 6th, 7th, and 8th graders led the school in three Holy Week services. Principal Theresa Berendes Retiring

MARCH 2024 - Theresa Berendes has made the decision to retire at the end of this school year to spend more time with her family, especially her grandkids. Providing a Caring Connection

MARCH 2024 - Our Caring Connection ministry offers support to the homebound, elderly, or lonely in our parish. Volunteers visit parishioners, make phone calls, and send cards. We want to make sure everyone feels connected to our parish - and loved - especially those who can't be on campus with us. To read more about this ministry, CLICK HERE.


Celebrating Our Holy Moments

MARCH 2024 - Our Resurrection students have been learning about the power of Holy Moments this school year through a pilot program with Dynamic Catholic. To learn more about this faith-based program, CLICK HERE.


RPC: A Gift to Our Parish

MARCH 2024 - Did you know that every parishioner here is a member of a group called the Resurrection Parish Club? This is a bit like a PTA for our whole parish. Celebrating a Decade of Service

FEBRUARY 2024 - Our Quilting Ladies of Resurrection are celebrating a milestone anniversary this year! These talented and spunky ladies organized into an official group in 2014. For 10 years, these women have hand sewn and raffled off, six quilts each year... for a total of 60 quilts in the past decade. To learn more about this group's service to our parish, CLICK HERE.

Stewardship as a Way of Life

JANUARY 2024 - Stewardship has been defined as the grateful response of a Christian Disciple who recognizes and receives God's gifts and shares these gifts in love of God and neighbor. Cultivating His Gifts to Us

JANUARY 2024 - In Deacon Ed's Epiphany homily, he challenged each of us in 2024 to consider the gifts God has given us and how we can cultivate and develop these gifts and return them with an increase. You Are Never Alone

OCTOBER 2023 - A team of young adults from around the country spent a recent Sunday pouring God's love into our 40 confirmation candidates. Creating Holy Moments
